NSM songwriter Julie Wood-Vassar has two songs included on the fifth studio release by Universal Records South recording artist Phil Vassar. Prayer of a Common Man includes Julie’s songs “It’s Only Love” and “Let Me Love You Tonight.” The album currently ranks at No. 10 on the Billboard 200.
“It’s Only Love” was co-written with hit songwriters Phil Vassar and Rodney Clawson, and “Let Me Love You Tonight” is co-written by Vassar and Nashville veteran Jeffrey E. Smith.
Produced by Mark Wright (Gretchen Wilson, Trisha Yearwood, Montgomery Gentry) “Prayer of a Common Man” is Phil Vassar’s first release for Universal Records South and proves his newfound creative freedom as an artist. First single “Love is a Beautiful Thing” hit number 5 on the country charts. The video for this single features real life wedding photos of thousands of Phil’s loyal fans and can been seen now on GAC and CMT. Vassar is also the subject for an upcoming GAC TV Special, “Origins: Phil Vassar – Prayer of a Common Man,” which airs on May 3.
