Note

Featuring a distinctive creative style that has been meticulously honed throughout the years, Dutch artist/producer San Holo fits high on the list of new trailblazers in electronic music.

Occupying the space between electronic and alternative, San takes his experience as a guitarist and vocalist to bring depth to his tracks, and live performances—playing guitar and singing during his shows.

His re-working of Dr. Dre’s classic “The Next Episode” blew up on the blogosphere and SoundCloud community, launching San’s future in the process—garnering over 160 million YouTube streams. He followed that release with his hypnotic single “We Rise” in early 2015, where he received Skrillex's praise and attention. Later in 2015, he established himself as a true pioneer of the future bass movement through the release of his Victory EP with Monstercat and singles “IMISSU” and “Can’t Forget You” with Spinnin before following up with a second Monstercat EP in early 2016, New Sky.

In 2016, San shifted his focus towards championing his own record label bitbird and subsequently releasing on records there starting with “Still Looking” which anchored the label’s debut Gouldian Finch compilation album. He followed that up in late 2016 with “Light” which has hit over 100 million streams on Spotify—garnering traction and airplay throughout the global dance music ecosystem.

From there, San Holo has continued to push the boundaries of his own music with bitbird through 2017 releasing a collaboration “Lines of the Broken” with bitbird prodigies DROELOE, teaming up with James Vincent McMorrow for “The Future,” singing for the first time in a record on “I Still See Your Face,” before returning to a more pop-leaning sound in “One Thing.” San wrapped up 2017 by gifting fans a copy of his experimental lo-fi The Trip EP on Boxing Day.

2018 has seen San continue to push his musical boundaries by embracing his guitar roots once more and heavily featuring that in his latest single “Right Here, Right Now.”

San has performed across the globe in four different continents with headline tours in Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America all under his belt. He made his major US festival debut at Ultra Music Festival and has since followed that up with performances at Tomorrowland, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, EDC Las Vegas and more.
