Hannah Gill & The Hours combine 70s lo-fi pop and rock with contemporary soul and blues. It’s a sweet, sultry blend that overflows with feeling. Led by the soulful, young vocal powerhouse Hannah Gill along with her guitarist/co-writer/ arranger Brad Hammonds, the group serves up lush vocals and sparkling fretwork that’s highlighted with touches of improvisational jazz.

Hammonds and Gill initially connected through a family friend, who felt their similar music tastes and improvisational approach to songwriting and performing would click. It did. The two developed an electric and prolific creative chemistry, and they decided to make it official with the launch of Hannah Gill & The Hours in 2015. After Gill relocated to New York City, they brought a substantial stockpile of material to producers John White and Rich DeCiccio at Whitewater studios in Brooklyn. From this batch of songs came their debut EP, The Water. It was mixed by multiple Grammy winner Tim Latham. The Water, is a collection of songs about embracing life’s adventures, breaking free from society’s mold and finding personal freedom.

The group’s “Déjà Vu” single picks up where the first EP left off, with the band continuing to blur genres and experiment with new sounds. Gill’s vocals are once again packed with soul, and her love for disco shines through in the hook.
