1520 Entertainment is a record label and production house headquartered out of a 15,000 sq. ft. facility in North Hollywood, CA. The company prides itself on being closely involved throughout the creative process, and they specialize in forging unique collaborations that mesh elements from multiple genres including pop, r&b, hip-hop, rock, and EDM.
1520 was founded by four music industry veterans:
Jared Lee Gosselin - He is a producer who won a Latin Grammy in 2013 for Beto Cuevas’ album Transformacion and has worked with such renowned artists as Velvet Revolver, Serj Tankian, DMC , Macy Gray, India Arie, KRS-One and Musiq Soulchild.
Mixing by Shaun Fabos AKA D1 - His multi-dimensional entertainment career has included work on major motion pictures as well as with platinum recording artists. He is the co-creator of 1520’s The Fab Factory Studio and has mixed for Missy Elliott, Musiq Soulchild, Chino XL, Raheem DeVaughn, Jameica Benet, Alicia Madison , Tina DeCara, and Bass Ops.
Steve Fabos - He is a co-creator of 1520’s Fab Factory Studio and continues working to expand the facility into a cutting-edge creative space for artists. Regarding the collective goals and the 1520 mission, Fabos says, “For many years in the entertainment business, we have worked together and had great respect for one another. We are all keenly aware that this business can be improved – and we recognize that the power of [three] can lead to positive change in our industry.”
Christopher Rosa - A co-founder and former partner who is a platinum-selling producer, songwriter, engineer and talent manager who has worked with artists such as Michael Jackson, Rod Stewart, Jamie Foxx, Chris Brown, Kelly Clarkson, Usher, Sevyn, and more.
1520’s roster is quickly taking shape as partnerships have been signed with Rama Duke, Chino XL, Lexy Panterra, Aaryn Rose, Miles Brown, Jackie Vae, Nova Rockafeller, Chloe Crush (a.k.a Chloe Riley), Experience Dennis Lorenzo, Wizzle Nation and American Idol alumni Blake Lewis. With its next bold step forward, Gosselin says, “We are determined to create a major change in music today. That begins with a better way to treat artists so they are inspired to create the best art possible. We are 100 percent behind them to make sure their innovative music is heard around the world.”
