We're stoked to announce the addition of DIY Punks White Fang to the North Star Media roster!
White Fang was formed in Portland, Oregon by Gnar Tapes founder Rikky Gage during his junior-year of high-school in the fall of 2005. In the 10 years since they’ve formed, White Fang has released 8 albums, has built a cult-following of loyal fans with their brash, unrelenting antics on and off stage, and has toured the United States, Europe, United Kingdom and Australia extensively along-side acts such as The GROWLERS, together PANGEA, Cosmonauts, Gap Dream, Colleen Green, YACHT, The Coathangers, The Thermals, and of course their sister-band The Memories, to name a few.
In addition to actively touring and recording as White Fang & The Memories, the boys also manage their own label – Gnar Tapes. Gnar Tapes seeks to release music by freaky-weirdos, outsiders, and otherwise like-minded individuals from around the world, and as of March 2015 – along with BURGER RECORDS – has opened a store-front called GnarBurger in Cypress Park, Los Angeles, California, where the band currently resides. White Fang speaks to the part of us that has been promoting a freewheeling, devil-may-care attitude all along. At a young age these full-time freaks devoted themselves to a surreal and subversive dream of music & video. White Fang is Rikky Gage, Uncle Funkle, Jimmy Leslie and Izak Arida.
